IT IS happening - Conor McGregor is returning to the UFC.
After a turbulent 2019, Notorious makes his long-awaited Octagon comeback against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone at UFC 246 in Las Vegas.
The Irish star was last seen in a brutal fourth round defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018 and has since been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Despite his antics away from the fighting arena, McGregor remains a hugely popular face of the UFC and is credited with dragging the sport into the mainstream.
What time is McGregor vs Cowboy in the UK?
ANTICIPATION is high for McGregor's comeback as he fights for just the second time since beating Eddie Alvarez in November 2016.
That win made Notorious a two-weight world champion in the featherweight and lightweight classes.
And he's ultimately looking to make history and become a three-weight champ as he steps up to welterweight to fight Cowboy - the weight he was when he beat Nate Diaz in a 2016 rematch.
There are some concerns about McGregor stacking up into the 170 class - where he's fought just twice - while Cerrone has 11 bouts at the weight.
UFC kingpin Dana White revealed: "This fight is interesting on a lot of different levels, obviously Conor has been out for a while.
"Conor has fought twice at 170 - he's got a win and a loss.
"It's even hard for Conor to hit 170 - so very interesting fight between two of the baddest in the business to ever do it."
UFC 246 features a packed card and is being held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 18.
Sin City is eight hours behind UK time - so fight fans on this side of the pond can expect a late night, or an early morning.
The prelims are getting underway around midnight our time.
McGregor vs Cowboy now has a CONFIRMED start-time of 5am GMT on Sunday morning, which is 9pm Saturday night in Vegas.
Originally the time was slated for 6am here in the UK, but Nevada State Athletic Commission cancelled Gadelha vs Grasso due to Grasso being 5lbs over the weight allowance.
With no time to rearrange that bout, the fight is pulled and the headline time pushed to an earlier slot.
